Volvo Launches Innovative Electric Vehicle Service Station at a Shopping Mall in Buenos Aires

Although it is true that Argentina is going through an economic crisis with high levels of inflation, large automotive manufacturers are betting on this market to strengthen their operations and electromobility projects in the region, which have already made significant progress in countries such as Colombia and Chile.

One of the companies investing in the South American nation is Volvo, a brand that produces 100% electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, which announced the opening of a new after-sales service point in the “Alcorta Shopping” mall.

User Experience

Unlike the showroom of a dealership, whose objective is to sell cars to potential Volvo brand customers, the new service point Concept Store offers its visitors to “experience the DNA of the brand” through innovation, technology, comfort and sustainability inspired by the typical landscapes of Sweden.

The store is equipped with the latest technology and design elements for users to experience a pleasant moment while getting to know everything the Swedish company has to offer.

The new service point is already open to the public from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the particularity that while the customer waits for his car he can use that time to walk around the shopping mall, make purchases or simply enjoy a delicious coffee with typical Swedish bakery products both on site and in the Concept Store.

“For us it is a milestone in Argentina to be able to present this service. With this opening, Volvo is looking for a disruptive proposal, since there is no other brand that offers a space with these characteristics in a shopping mall,” said Eximar’s President and CEO, Federico Pieruzzini.

Maintenance services for the vehicles, which will be carried out on the second floor of the parking lot, will be provided by the Ditecar dealership, which already has another similar service center.

With the latter, Volvo now has five official after-sales services throughout the country.
Pieruzzini pointed out that in 2023 Volvo plans to increase its sales volume, so they are preparing to offer a larger infrastructure to all customers.

This expansion plan also includes the construction of a new dealership in the city of Buenos Aires with a revolutionary concept in an exclusive area of the city.
