Discover Geotab’s Innovation and Research Center

The milestone of more than 3,000,000 interconnected vehicles worldwide positions Geotab as one of the leaders in fleet management and administration through telematics.

The company’s success lies in its robust platform that provides near real-time data on battery charge, range, energy and fuel consumption and charging history for more than 300 different makes and models of electric vehicles, making it a world leader in electric vehicle telematics.

In addition, Geotab has a world-class infrastructure to be a reference in the market. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company intensified its efforts and opened its Innovation and Research Center in High Wycombe, England.

The aforementioned state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to advancing the data intelligence needed to support the electrification of the transportation sector.

The center brings together a wealth of human talent with extensive industry experience to develop cutting-edge technologies that support connected vehicles of all types.

Dedicated to delivering innovative solutions, this center of excellence is at the highest standards for driving a cleaner, more sustainable future for transportation.

“Our state-of-the-art High Wycombe facility is Geotab’s first dedicated automotive facility in Europe. They are behind much of the success of the innovative technology used to achieve this milestone of electric vehicle make and model compatibility, as well as our work with the British Antarctic Survey, the UK’s national polar research institute, as the first commercial telematics provider to go live in Antarctica,” said Edward Kulperger, Geotab‘s Senior Vice President for Europe.

Information Matters

Neil Cawse, CEO of Geotab, highlighted the significance of information in executing change. “We understand how the quality and richness of data captured from the vehicle can define the success of analytics that support fleet operations and the companies’ sustainability program, so access to a holistic view of the data is critical.”

Despite the rapid growth of the electric vehicle industry, there is still no official standard on what information is extracted from vehicles, posing unique data challenges for fleet managers.

Through Geotab‘s technology and reverse engineering process, the company offers a comprehensive view of data that provides fleet managers with the information needed to make informed decisions for fleet electrification and sustainability goals, such as vehicle range, efficiency and state of charge.
