“Latam Mobility: Colombia 2023” was the scenario for discussing the current situation and perspectives of “Business Transportation and Fleet Management Solutions“, a panel with the participation of prominent industry representatives.
The debate was marked by interesting announcements such as the purchase of LeasePlan by ALD Automotive, and the change of Sistemas Inteligentes en Red to Grupo Inteia.
This information further exalts the relevance of the Latam Mobility meetings, a forum that brands and the public sector are taking advantage of to offer firsts.

Key Merge
Ana Serrano, Commercial Director of ALD Automotive, participated in the meeting with the great news that the company acquired LeasePlan, a key move that positions the combined group as one of the world leaders in sustainable mobility, with a total fleet of 3.3 million vehicles managed worldwide.
She specified that the company in Colombia already has approximately 11% of the electric fleet. She emphasized that they are working hard on last mile projects and the process of accompanying customers and drivers in their management process and transition to sustainable fleets.

Serrano emphasized that ALD Automotive has the capacity to deliver fundamental data through telematics with detailed reports on the units, which allows them to manage alternatives in the market and optimize operations.
The executive expressed that while there are important advances, there are still a number of challenges to accelerate the transition to low-emission vehicles.
“We want to guide customers to a conscious and happy transition,” concluded Serrano.
INTEIA Transition
Juan Camilo Gómez González, Product Manager Mobilidad de Sistemas Inteligentes en Red, took advantage of the Latam Mobility forum to announce the name change to Grupo INTEIA.
“We are launching our new brand as part of our vision of integrating sustainable and intelligent territories where technology is a solution.”
He explained that the focus is to help companies in the freight and last mile sector that rely on scheduling through sub-optimal communications that take longer and generate high costs.
Gómez noted that INTEIA is applying artificial intelligence, a technology that is currently in the limelight, to integrate data in alliance with more than 2,000 companies in Colombia that provide them with information.
“Today, companies can program their route and we deliver accurate data to the driver so that he can follow up, we are a help manager to turn pain into opportunities,” he said.
Renting Colombia and Leadership in Sustainable Fleets
Esteban Tous, Commercial Director of Renting Colombia, was another of the speakers present at the meeting developed by Latam Mobility in Medellin.
He emphasized that the company has been working for more than six years and betting on the transition of vehicles towards sustainable mobility: electric, gas and hybrid.
He specified that Renting has a commitment of more than 3,000 vehicles in sustainable network, based on the potential of the market, ensuring that they are prepared for the great challenges such as the fear that customers still have to dare to make the changes required by their vehicles for a better optimization of operations.
Among the important announcements made at the “Latam Mobility: Colombia 2023“, Tous highlighted that they will soon have 1,000 more electric units in alliance with Muverang, which will make them one of the largest electrified fleets in the country and the region.
“This is a team effort where we must all participate in parallel, we have solutions and allies for the development of electro-lane stations. We want to bet because the market will continue to grow”, he pointed out.
Sodexo’s Tradition
With more than 9,000 corporate clients and more than 9 million Colombians using its products, Sodexo seeks to take advantage of the great impact of its brand in the country to become a key player in the path towards sustainable mobility.
In this sense, Edwin Lota, Sodexo‘s Mobility Director, assured that the company has the capacity to solve real problems of its clients, which is why they started to come up with ideas in terms of mobility and advise companies on issues such as fuel acquisition and access to energy.
He explained that Sodexo’s potential to drive sustainable mobility is based on its great aggregator model capable of bringing together actors in the chain.
“We are allied suppliers who have been building that ecosystem that will allow us to strengthen the value chain on the road to sustainable mobility,” Tous stressed.
Nutresa Solutions
Stephanie Arango, Nutresa Services Logistics Services Negotiator, emphasized that they have been making important efforts to lead the way towards sustainable mobility in Colombia.
She explained that in recent years they have been integrating methodology to advise customers from the total cost, impact mitigation, finding hidden costs that will allow the optimization of corporate activities with fleets.
“The key in this path towards sustainable mobility is to identify indicators and establish alliances, that the way for our customers not only external, but for internal customers to have ample opportunities for fleet renewal between 5 and 7 years,” she said.
She detailed that one of the achievements so far is that its users can be counting on alternative energies of up to 70% with electric, gas and hybrid vehicles, which already represents 10% of the total fleet.
“Our mission is to integrate and work with all stakeholders to massify sustainable mobility,” she concluded.
