Porsche, through Volkswagen Group Mexico, announced an alliance with Evergo to boost charging infrastructure in the country. Users of the German brand’s electric and hybrid cars will have access to a 150 kW fast charger.
According to a press release from Porsche, the main focus of this agreement is to multiply the public charging network for electric and hybrid vehicles currently available in Mexico.
The plan includes the installation of 15 fast charging centers (with 150 kW chargers and the capacity to increase their power in the future) in the most important highways in Mexico in the next 2 years; additionally, a project to install 9.6 kW AC chargers in strategic destinations is also planned.
Vehicles and Locations
In the specific case of Porsche, this collaboration will benefit users of cars with electric and hybrid propulsion systems such as the Taycan, Cayenne E-Hybrid and Panamera E-Hybrid.
The chargers are strategically located on routes connecting the country’s main cities with destinations of interest.

The specific regions are: Mexico City – Acapulco, Mexico City – Puebla, Mexico City – Valle de Bravo, Mexico City – Queretaro, Guadalajara – Queretaro, Guadalajara – Puerto Vallarta, Merida – Cancun and Monterrey – Northern Border.
Camilo San Martín, Director of Porsche de México, highlighted that the collaboration agreement with Evergo allows strengthening the public charging network with the installation of faster and smarter points.
“This alliance directly benefits Porsche electric and hybrid vehicle users who will now be able to count on greater supply options for their vehicles, as well as access to chargers for exclusive use at different sites on national highways,” he explained.
“We are very pleased to reinforce our commitment to reducing emissions, while offering greater charging solutions to customers and enthusiasts of the brand that will allow them to enjoy even more of their Porsche on longer distances,” said the executive.
