The electric vehicle charging network company Evergo celebrates its first year of operations in Mexico, positioning itself as one of the main drivers of the decarbonization of transportation in the country and the region.
One year into Evergo’s operations in Mexico, following the majority acquisition of E-DRIVE, a Mexican company that has been a leader in electric vehicle charging solutions since 2016, it has established itself as a benchmark in the current and future of electric mobility.
The company has become the main driver of public charging infrastructure in the country with an announced investment of $200 million over the next five years, with the goal of installing more than 15,000 new charging stations in residential, commercial and public environments.
Challenges and Opportunities
Daniel Lopez, Chief Commercial Officer of Evergo, pointed out that the company has set as a clear objective, to achieve the decarbonization of transportation.
“As proof of this, in just this first year of operation we have deployed more than 5,000 new charging ports between the residential, fleet and public freight segments, thus meeting the needs of the entire universe of users and segments that have opted for electric mobility, making us an accelerator and benchmark in the transition to zero-emission mobility.”

Among the achievements made during Evergo‘s first year of operation in Mexico are the strategic alliances with the main brands in the automotive industry for the deployment of public charging, such as BMW Group, Volvo, JAC and Chirey.
The partnerships allow customers of each manufacturer to enjoy the following benefits: energy credits, access to Evergo‘s global network, unique charging experience within the Evergo ecosystem, preferential prices through charging packages and special promotions; among others.
Other achievements added during this first anniversary of Evergo are: Reaching more than 12,000 active users on Evergo App; more than 4,500 new residential chargers installed; more than 500 new chargers installed and active on the EvergoFleet intelligent charging infrastructure management platform (for corporate fleet of vehicles).
In this way, Evergo has become a key player in the supply of charging services and electric vehicles in Mexico surpassing 25,000 charging ports in installed base since 2016, as E-DRIVE, to date, now under the Evergo name and also opening a new and unique portfolio of holistic services.
Latam Mobility Arrives in Monterrey
Latam Mobility, Latin America’s largest sustainable mobility community, will arrive in Monterrey on February 8 with the “North America Mobility and Net Zero Summit 2024″.
The meeting will bring together industry leaders, major automotive manufacturers and prominent representatives from the public sector, who will offer perspectives and projects on sustainable mobility in Mexico and the region.
