Evergo Leads Alliance to Strengthen Charging Infrastructure in the Dominican Republic

Volvo Car República Dominicana, a brand of the intelligent mobility portfolio of the MARTÍ business group, MOVITI, and Evergo, formalized a strategic alliance to promote electric mobility in the country.

In a press release, Evergo emphasizes that the main objective of this collaboration is to provide a comprehensive solution to customers who purchase Volvo electric vehicles.

The process is carried out through an exclusive Volvo and Evergo RFID card, which contains Energy Credits available to users to charge their vehicle, to be used within a maximum period of two years, valid at all Evergo charging stations in the national territory, in addition to offering a special discount on the cost per kilowatt (kW) consumed.

Robust Partnership

Cesar García, Regional Director of the Light Vehicle Portfolio, MOVITI, explained that this alliance marks Volvo‘s commitment to electrification, not only in the Dominican Republic, but also in markets such as Panama and Puerto Rico.

In addition, he highlighted that as part of their customer-centric philosophy, they are granting an additional year of energy to all those who purchase the 100% electric Volvo.

As part of the alliance with Volvo Cars, Evergo has committed to carry out an ambitious electric mobility plan that will include the installation and operation of 2,419 charging stations in the region for electric vehicles over a three-year period.

This massive charging infrastructure will be strategically distributed in seven countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, including Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Uruguay, Panama and Jamaica.

In this way, Volvo customers who opt for electric models will be the main beneficiaries of this collaboration, as they will enjoy preferential rates and a range of charging service packages at Evergo stations.

Roberto Herrera, CEO of Evergo Holdings, noted that this partnership with Volvo is an example of the ongoing commitment to expand electric charging infrastructure and facilitate the adoption of electric vehicles in the region.

“We are happy to work alongside a leading brand like Volvo to make electric mobility more accessible and attractive than ever,” he said.
