One of the leading players in contract logistics in Europe, ID Logistics, is moving towards a greener future by incorporating 30 new sustainable vehicles in collaboration with Volvo.
Specifically, the company has added two fully electric Volvo FM trucks and 28 Volvo FH trucks equipped with I-Save technology to its fleet. Since last summer, the two Volvo FM Electric units have been operating in ID Logistics’ fleet.
Equipped with advanced technology, these electric trucks have exceeded expectations in terms of energy efficiency, operational performance, and load capacity, demonstrating the feasibility of electrifying freight transport.

The Volvo FM Electric model achieves a range of up to 300 kilometres. These vehicles feature three motors combined with Volvo’s I-Shift gearbox, offering three different power outputs: continuous to the axle at 315 kW (430 HP), peak to the axle at 490 kW (666 HP), and instant torque of up to 2,400 Nm.
Additionally, they are equipped with next-generation batteries, with a total energy storage capacity of 540 kWh. “Innovation and sustainability are part of the DNA at ID Logistics,” said Guillermo Martínez, Transport Director of ID Logistics Iberia.
