The Stellantis Group has announced an investment of nearly $600 million in Brazil (3 billion reais), during an event held at the Stellantis Automotive Hub in Porto Real, Rio de Janeiro.
In this way, it aims to strengthen its presence in the Brazilian automotive market, where it plans to manufacture a new model in the coming years, while also serving as support for the production launch of the Citroën Basalt.
Thus, this money adds to the investments made since 2011, where the Rio de Janeiro plant exceeds 13 billion reais (approximately $2 billion) in investments.

Stellantis Group in Latin America
Stellantis plans to introduce a new range of electric and hybrid vehicles in the Brazilian market and in Latin America in general, aligning with global trends towards more sustainable mobility.
Thus, between 2023 and 2025, South America will have approximately $6 billion in investment from the Stellantis Group, positioning itself as the largest ever in the automotive sector in the region.
On the other hand, with regard to Brazil, it remains one of the largest and most dynamic markets in Latin America. With a population of over 210 million people and a growing middle class, the demand for vehicles is constantly increasing.
