Enel X and Espacio urbano inaugurated the second largest electric charging station in Latin America, in the subway parking lots of the minus one and minus two floors of Espacio Urbano Las Rejas, in Santiago de Chile’s Central Station.
Jean Paul Zalaquett, Electromobility Manager of Enel X, assured that the Chilean capital has the two largest public charging centers in Latin America, which are added to another series of similar initiatives that seek to further increase supply.
“Today, in the western sector of the capital, this new and large charging center for electric vehicles is born, with whose partner, Espacio Urbano, we have extended electromobility and its benefits from Antofagasta to Punta Arenas,” he said.

Operations
This operations center can be used during the day by private individuals and fleets of companies engaged in courier, delivery, last mile and other areas that already operate with the benefits of electromobility. At night it will be used by transport fleets.
“We are very pleased with the work we have been doing since 2022 with Enel X. With this alliance we have been able to promote electromobility achieving greater coverage and comfort for users,” highlighted Carolina Díaz, Marketing and Sustainability Manager of Espacio Urbano.
She emphasized that on this occasion they are inaugurating the second largest electric station in Latin America in their parking lots at Espacio Urbano Las Rejas, which will be used day and night by both private and commercial electric cars.
The company explained that the devices installed are Waybox AC chargers, with 7.4 kW of power, which can be linked to the Enel X Way App charging application for phones and cards with RFID technology that are used to activate the charges.
