VEMO to Install Five Electro-Line Stations in Nuevo Leon, Mexico

VEMO announced the installation of five electric charging stations in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, as part of its commitment to strengthen electromobility in the country.

The new charging points are located in strategic locations in the city, with the aim of facilitating the adoption of electric vehicles in the region, considered one of the most attractive for nearshoring, according to the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness (IMCO), the company said in a statement.

Carlos Levy, Head of the VEMO Charging Network (VCN), pointed out that the installation of these new electric charging stations is a major step forward in facilitating the adoption of electric mobility in the region.

Steps to Follow

According to a review by El Economista, access to the VCN is through the “Watts by VEMO” application, from where they can locate the recharging point, type of charger, use a variety of payment methods, online support, in addition to making the payment and monitoring of recharging data.

Levy explained that with the deployment of high-power chargers, they will continue to address range anxiety and develop the public recharging network across the country.

“We are convinced that our alliances with the main leaders in the automotive sector will be a boost to reach the goal set by the Electro Mobility Association (EMA) – 100% of electric vehicle sales will be electric in Mexico by 2035,” he said.

Nuevo León’s Secretary of Economy, Iván Rivas Rodríguez, stated that the state has received around 72 new investments from the automotive sector, of which more than 50% are linked to electromobility.

VEMO seeks to accelerate the adoption of clean mobility technologies through a comprehensive solution that includes vehicles, charging infrastructure, technology and data intelligence for fleet management, as components that make up a clean mobility ecosystem.
