Chinese firm GAC Motor has partnered with VEMO in Mexico to supply public charging infrastructure for the Asian automaker’s electric vehicles.
GAC Motor recently announced the upcoming arrival in Mexico of five electric vehicles and two plug-in hybrids, which will accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in the country, the companies said in a joint statement.
The agreement will facilitate the access of the Chinese brand’s users to the “VEMO Charging Network,” Mexico’s public charging network for vehicles.

Robust Partnership
VEMO‘s CEO and Co-Founder, Roberto Rocha, said that the collaboration with GAC is another step towards fulfilling our commitment to the transition to clean mobility in the country.
The VEMO Charging Network (VCN) has more than 550 public charging stations in 14 states in Mexico.
GAC Motor entered the Mexican market at the end of 2023, following the arrival in previous years of other Chinese manufacturers such as Great Wall Motors (GWM), SAIC Motors, Chery Group’s Chirey, and BYD (Build Your Dreams), among others.
