“The transportation guild becomes our first ally to achieve air quality goals. Thanks to this space, we continue to make significant progress in the creation of common strategies that will have a direct impact on the reduction of pollution in Bogota, such as those proposed by the administration such as the Foncarga and the Zuma”.

The fair was organized by the Secretariats of Environment and Mobility, together with the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, and brought together the transportation sector and the city’s main trade unions.

Solutions to reduce the environmental impact of cargo transportation, one of the largest generators of emissions in the city, were discussed and promoted.

Partnerships Importance

“Collaboration and partnerships between public and private entities is of vital importance to achieve comprehensive solutions that lead us to better urban logistics for our city in terms of sustainability, safety and efficiency.

Spaces like today’s allow us to interact with companies that provide state-of-the-art technologies available for cargo transportation vehicles, moving towards better mobility and air quality,” stated the Undersecretary of Mobility Policy, Ana Milena Gómez.

During the event, the advances in the adoption of clean technologies and alternative energies for cargo transportation in Bogota were highlighted.

Leading companies, unions and manufacturers presented electric and hybrid vehicles and intelligent fleet management systems that optimize fuel consumption and reduce polluting gas emissions.
