The Santiago de Chile airport has a new 100% electric minibus for passenger transportation. It is the DFLZ (Dongfeng Liuzhou) M5 model of the company Voltera, a vehicle with 7 or 9 seats, NEDC autonomy of 400 kilometers, power of 90 kW – 120 HP and fast battery charge in only 25 minutes.
According to the local media “Diario Sustentable”, the unit began to make trips with passengers from the airport to the parking lots of the company Ok Parking and vice versa.
The incorporation of these two electric units will allow Ok Parking to stop emitting 160 tons of CO2 per year, and makes it the first parking lot at Pudahuel airport with an electric fleet.

Environmental Impact
Patricio Concha, Voltera’s Corporate Sales and Marketing Manager, pointed out that “the M5 is having a very good acceptance, given the scarcity of vehicles with similar characteristics in the local market”.
In fact, units of the M5 minibus were incorporated by the “Sustainable Wine Tourism” program of Citybest Zero to transport foreign and domestic tourists to the main wineries in the central-southern part of the country; the Municipality of Renca to transport elderly people to the Felix Bulnes Clinical Hospital, and the company Salfa Fluor.
Voltera is a company that is 100% dedicated to electromobility, and has the representation of electric vehicles, chargers and associated technology, both for Chile and Peru, from the manufacturers ZNA and DFLZ of the DongFeng group; Maple and Farizon of the Geely group; and IoCharger smart chargers, among others.
In addition to the commercialization of electric vehicles (EV), it provides consultancy, development and installation of private charging solutions, online technology to monitor the operation of EVs, which translates into greater efficiency and operational continuity.
