Latam Mobility Kicks Off 2025 with the “North America Mobility Summit”

On February 20, 2025, Latam Mobility, the largest community of sustainable mobility in Latin America, begins its tour in Monterrey, Mexico, with the second edition of the “North America Mobility Summit 2025”.

Mexico has become a key stronghold for the region with the arrival of major automotive brands, with interesting plans to establish electric vehicle plants. In this context, Latam Mobility solidifies as a key player to generate synergies, networking, and alliances between public and private sectors.

The “North America Mobility & Net Zero Summit” in Monterrey will gather the most important companies and leaders related to energy, transportation, fuels, and mobility, to showcase the advancements and industry perspectives in Mexico, the United States, and the region.

The event will feature a series of thematic panels and presentations that play a starring role in advancing sustainable mobility, decarbonization, circular economy, and renewable energies, as well as highlighted networking for forming key alliances on the path to zero emissions.

Key Platform and Advances

Walter Julián Ángel, leader of the Energy Regulatory Commission of Mexico, participated in the event organized by Latam Mobility in February 2024 in Monterrey, where perspectives and initial steps for the recently approved regulatory framework in the country were presented.

Mexico approved the “General Administrative Provisions on Electromobility” for integrating charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles connected to the National Electric System as part of a Smart Electric Grid.

This is the first regulation on electromobility issued by the regulatory body and includes the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Monterrey becomes a central hub to gather mobility leaders and address challenges facing Mexico, especially in the growth of demand for electric vehicles, semiconductors, and various key components to meet the needs of the United States and Canada.
