VEMO Strengthens Infrastructure in Guanajuato with 12 Public Electric Vehicle Chargers

VEMO, a leading Mexican company in clean mobility, has installed 12 electric vehicle chargers in Guanajuato, enhancing its public charging network in the state.

According to Carlos Levy, director of the VEMO Charging Network, the decision to invest in Guanajuato is due to the state’s commitment to electromobility projects, a vision shared by the company.

In the third quarter of 2024, the Electromobility Association (EMA) reported 3,273 public chargers for electric vehicles in Mexico, reflecting a 34% increase in the sales of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

New Chargers

The 12 VEMO chargers in Guanajuato are distributed across three public charging stations:

  • Hotel Casa Inn in Irapuato: Las Villas 621, 1ro de Mayo, 36644 Irapuato, Gto.
  • Hotel Casa Inn in Celaya: Av. Juan José Torres Landa 202, Col. del Parque, 38010 Celaya, Gto.
  • Plaza La Luciérnaga in San Miguel de Allende: Libramiento José Manuel Zavala 165, La Luciérnaga, 37745 San Miguel de Allende, Gto.

At the Casa Inn hotels in Irapuato and Celaya, there are three chargers at each location with an installed capacity of 57 kW. At Plaza La Luciérnaga, there are six chargers with an installed capacity of 44 kW.

Through the “Watts by VEMO” app, users can locate charging stations, select the appropriate charger type, access various payment methods, receive online support, and monitor their charging sessions.
