Colombia: TCC Moves Towards Sustainability with New Fleet of Electric Trucks

TCC, a logistics company in Colombia, has incorporated 20 electric trucks into its vehicle fleet as part of its commitment to reducing emissions and promoting greener practices in the freight transport sector.

The acquisition of these trucks was carried out in partnership with Foton Corautos Andino, a recognized provider of commercial vehicles. The new trucks, FKR 3.4 EV models, are specifically designed for urban parcel operations and will be deployed in the cities of Bogotá, Medellín, Barranquilla, and Cartagena.

Each unit is fully electric, capable of generating 86 horsepower, with a peak of 154 hp, and a torque of 432 Nm, reaching up to 913 Nm at maximum performance. Additionally, they are equipped with a battery of 81.14 kWh capacity, ensuring efficient and sustainable operation.

Figures in Colombia

According to the latest report from ANDI and Fenalco, approximately 9,178 electric vehicles were sold in Colombia in 2024, representing a 150% increase compared to the previous year.

In this context, TCC’s commitment to fleet electrification is a clear example of how companies in the logistics sector can actively contribute to environmental sustainability.

Finally, the implementation of these electric vehicles helps improve air quality in the mentioned cities while significantly reducing maintenance and operational costs for TCC, thanks to the energy efficiency inherent in this type of technology.
