Renault 5, 4 and Twingo: the core of Renault’s electrification strategy
With the Renault 5 E-Tech —named Car of the Year in both Europe and Spain— the French automaker climbed to second place in EV sales in March. This model combines design, range, and competitive pricing (from €17,990 with incentives), making it an ideal gateway to zero-emission driving.
Joining the lineup is the Renault 4 E-Tech, offering up to 408 km of range and a reinvented retro design starting at €21,704.
The trio will be completed by the electric Twingo, set to launch in 2026 with a target price below €13,000 with incentives —the most affordable EV in Renault’s lineup.
With these models, the electrification strategy of Renault presents an inclusive and sustainable vision, where electric mobility becomes a reality for the average city driver.
Technology, savings and smart tools to ease the transition
Beyond its product range, Renault has developed “EVA” (Electric Vehicle Assistant), an AI-powered tool that helps users compare the total cost of ownership between an electric car and a combustion model.
EVA’s calculator analyzes fuel consumption, maintenance, local regulations, and low-emission zones. For instance, a Renault 5 E-Tech can save up to €10,000 over 8 years compared to a gasoline-powered Clio.
Thanks to this innovative support system and a well-targeted EV lineup, the electrification strategy of Renault is positioned as a bold move toward democratizing sustainable mobility across Europe.
