A Real Example of Sustainability
Some of Kapsch’s most outstanding references in tolling and sustainable mobility are evident in Chile, specifically for having actively participated in Santiago’s urban concession program, where free-flow urban tolls were installed. Thanks to this system, cars do not have to stop at a toll station to pay, and do not have to slow down. This avoids congestion and reduces CO2 emissions, while more than 1 billion electronic transactions are carried out, generating significant savings on raw materials through intelligent toll collection.
Other countries in Latin America are beginning to implement the same technology to offer a better experience to their citizens.
