The recent regulatory shifts aimed at fostering sustainable mobility are prompting automotive sector players to pioneer inventive solutions that enhance user mobility.
The European Union’s recent approval of the European Directive on Energy Efficiency in Buildings marks a legislative milestone, mandating the promotion of sustainable mobility through built infrastructure.
This entails the installation of electric vehicle charging stations and the incorporation of bicycle parking spaces in both residential and non-residential buildings within a two-year timeframe. In the context of these regulations, Allianz Partners Spain assumes a pivotal role.

The role of Allianz Partners Spain
Under the new regulations, non-residential buildings—either new constructions or those undergoing renovation—that boast more than five parking spaces must incorporate at least one charging station for every five spaces.
For buildings exceeding 20 parking spaces, this ratio increases to one charging station for every 10 spaces. Moreover, residential buildings with over three parking spaces are also required to install a minimum of one charging point.
In addition to these measures, Allianz Partners offers a suite of supplementary solutions to bolster sustainable mobility. These encompass tailor-made assistance services for hybrid and electric vehicles, alongside the provision of electric substitute vehicles.
“Clients need to be confident in their decision to purchase an electric vehicle and know that they will have the necessary tools if any incident occurs. That’s why it’s so important to provide solutions that protect and give confidence to users to opt for more sustainable mobility, especially in a company like ours dedicated to Insurance and Assistance,” commented Cristina Rosado, Commercial Head of Allianz Partners Spain’s mobility business line.
“At Allianz Partners, we strive every day to develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients with the sole purpose of offering them peace of mind,” she concluded.
