Blink Charging Dazzles at Las Vegas Tech Show with Seven New Product Launches

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the stage for companies to present their technology innovations. This annual event is held in Las Vegas, United States, and every January there are groundbreaking initiatives.

One of the leading companies for the 2022 edition is Blink Charging introducing seven new products to consolidate as a leader in smart and commercial charging.

The new equipment includes MQ 200, HQ 200 (Smart and Basic models), Vision IQ 200 and 50kW DC Fast Charger, featuring electric vehicle, home, fleet and retail charging technology. Some charging products also feature new car-to-grid technology capable of dynamically balancing power demand with supply.

Star Products

The first charging innovation is the HQ 200, Blink’s next generation of home chargers. The 50-amp charger comes on two models: the basic HQ 200 and the HQ 200 Smart, which is also Wi-Fi enabled. Both versions feature Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology enabling it to send power back to your home or grid with the right electrical configuration.

The new equipment also features shared charging capabilities, which means multiple electric vehicles can be plugged into your home on a single circuit. With a NEMA Type 3R plug and a lockable SAE J1772 charger, installation should be relatively easy.

On the other hand, there is the MQ 200, a similar 50-amp charger designed for fleet and multi-unit applications, which offers charging rates of 9.6 kW. This product features a fully integrated fleet management portal and local loading management across two or more chargers.

App Launch

In addition to the sophisticated chargers, Blink is launching two new apps, “Blink Mobile App” and the “Blink Fleet” portal, to power a more seamless, efficient and affordable charging experience for both consumers and fleets.

For charging, drivers can book charging sessions, favorite frequent charging stations and set reminders to take advantage of off-peak electricity rates. The app also enables interoperability with other providers’ networks.
