Expanding Charging Infrastructure in Exclusive Destinations

The Porsche Destination Charging program is a global charging network that offers convenient solutions for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle users at exclusive locations such as hotels, golf clubs, and marinas.

With the installation of 50 new Blink chargers in Mexico, drivers will gain access to free charging sessions at these points and receive a complimentary Blink RFID card, along with a 35% discount at other Blink Charging stations.

Participating locations, in addition to offering added value to their clients, will receive a share of the revenue generated from charging sessions—encouraging further development of EV infrastructure across the country.

This initiative marks a key milestone in Blink Charging’s growth strategy in Mexico, where the company will own and operate the new charging stations.

Blink will also provide installation services, maintenance, parts supply, and training—ensuring efficient and high-performance operation at every charging site.

“Thanks to our partnership with Blink Charging, we are expanding and strengthening the public charging network with faster and smarter stations, improving the experience for our users,” said Camilo San Martín, Director of Porsche Mexico.

“This effort supports the growth of a continuously expanding network, facilitating mobility and promoting the shift to electromobility,” added.

Advanced Technology for Efficient Charging

Blink’s IQ200 Advanced chargers offer up to 19.2 kW of power with a J1772 (Type 1) connector, ensuring fast and efficient charging.

Through the Blink Network software, users can manage their charging sessions remotely, optimizing the experience through a cloud-based, user-friendly platform.

Mike Battaglia, President and CEO of Blink Charging, emphasized the importance of this alliance: “Commercial and tourist destinations are a key factor in improving access to electric vehicles in LATAM. With our ‘Blink Owned’ business model, we manage the entire lifecycle of the charging stations—from installation to operation and maintenance—guaranteeing advanced and reliable solutions for our clients.”

The new charging stations will be available for use starting in March 2025, further supporting the growth of electric mobility in Mexico and strengthening the region’s charging infrastructure.
