BMW Launches Two New Electric Vehicles in Chile

The supply of electric vehicles continues to grow in Chilean territory with the arrival of new models, in this case, from the BMW brand. These are two jewels with which the manufacturer intends to penetrate even further in the South American country.

The cars are the BMW iX1 xDrive30, in its Comfort and xLine variants, and the BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport. The new electric cars bring with them cutting-edge technology and the brand’s characteristic premium quality.

BMW i4

The BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport features the fifth generation of BMW eDrive technology and the latest generation of the BMW iDrive system.

It features cutting-edge innovations that enhance the automated driving system and parking assistance, in addition to delivering different options to customize the design and equipment of the vehicle.

It is a fully electric car that is aimed at the premium mid-segment. This model combines agility and dynamics that maintain the driving sensation of the brand, the comfort of a sedan and a modern functionality of a zero-emission format.

It has a 340 hp electric motor, the classic rear-wheel drive adds to the philosophy of zero-emission driving without losing the power of a sports car, with an estimated range, according to the WLTP[2] cycle, of 493 to 590 kilometers.

The carbon footprint certificate for the BMW i4 eDrive40 shows that its global warming potential is approximately 47% lower than that of a large coupe with an equivalent diesel engine over a total mileage of 200,000 kilometers.

The new BMW iX1 is equipped with BMW Operating System 8 and BMW Curved Display, with a wide selection of automated parking and driving systems.

Unlike its predecessor, it is boosted by its enhanced sustainability innovations, resulting from its electrified technology and the use of green energy both in its production and in the use of secondary and natural raw materials for its manufacture.

The interior design stands out for its elevated seating position and high-quality modern ambience that go hand in hand with the cultivated styling of the BMW iX, resulting in a unique driving experience inside the compact SAV.

With the presentation of the two cars, BMW Group assures that it has inserted to the Chilean market the first all-wheel drive electric car developed by the brand for the premium compact segment, with 2 BMW eDrive 5th generation synchronous motors, one on each axle.
