Brazil: BYD Positions as the Best Selling Brand

The Chinese company BYD has reached the position of the best-selling brand in the cities of Vila Velha and Indaiatuba at the close of March 2024, the first time an electrified car brand has achieved such a position in Brazil.

With 6,213 units sold so far this year, BYD has captured 45.64% of sales of all electrified vehicles available in the country, highlighting the demand for electric vehicles in Brazil, while enhancing consumer confidence in the brand.

The meteoric rise in the Brazilian market has been driven by growing environmental awareness, electric vehicle incentives and BYD’s aggressive expansion strategy in the region.
