Since mid-year, the Chamber of Deputies of Brazil approved a bill creating an innovation and sustainable mobility program called Mover.
Similar to the Rota 2030 program, Mover targets car manufacturers and sectors of auto parts and strategic systems in vehicle production, with the main goal of promoting research, development, and innovation (R&D&I) projects throughout the sector’s chain.
The incentives include a reduced IPI tax rate for sustainable vehicles, the generation of financial credits for investments in innovation, and a reduction in Import Duty for auto parts not produced locally.
National Fund for Industrial and Technological Development
This green mobility program extends the fiscal benefits in Rota 2030 and includes the creation of the National Fund for Industrial and Technological Development (FNDIT).
The purpose of the FNDIT is to raise funds from industrial policies to finance priority programs and projects that drive industrial, scientific, and technological development.
