With electrification taking over the automotive market, more and more brands are delving into developing vehicles of this type. Cadillac is no exception, having long worked on its first 100% electrified model, LYRIQ, which plans to make a splash in the market.
However, it’s already making waves even before its release, firstly due to its power and mechanical features, and then due to the economic factor, given that its base acquisition price will start at nearly $63,000.
Enter the Cadillac LYRIQ, a car that stands out for its technical virtues, allowing for a range of up to 312 miles on a single battery charge, offering up to 340 hp and a maximum of 440 Nm.
“These are significant steps for Cadillac, as we fulfil our promise to offer an EV that provides more than 300 miles of range and move towards a fully electric portfolio by 2030,” stated Rory Harvey, global vice president of the brand.

Cadillac Bets on Electrification
Orders to acquire this vehicle are available, with the initial models offering two types of paint and aesthetic appearance: Opulent Blue Metallic 3 and Crystal White Tricoat, with a starting price of $62,990.
On the other hand, one of the most striking aspects the company offers to incentivize its purchase is the option to choose between two years of unlimited energy replenishment credits at EVgo charging stations or a credit of up to $1,500 for home charger installation through Qmerit.
“This unique offer will enhance our customers’ experience with LYRIQ, helping them make a more seamless and transparent transition to fully electric driving. Just like LYRIQ itself, the charging experience will set the standard for customer EV experiences,” emphasized Harvey.
Finally, and on a mechanical level, beyond the aforementioned 340 hp, the Cadillac LYRIQ AWD will add a second transmission unit that increases the electric motor’s capacity to 500 hp.
