The technology company Circontrol has launched a new range of fast chargers that promise to revolutionize the market for organizations that do not have access to a large infrastructure. These are the 25 kW, the poles and the eVolve Rapid wallboxes.
As reported by the company on its official website, the new stations are made up of the best innovation in the organization’s slow and fast charging equipment and are presented “as a fast charging solution” in the so-called direct current (DC). “But with the compact, space-saving enclosure found on alternative current (AC) charger systems”.
Circontrol’s eVolve Rapid range provides a new charging solution for private fleets, repair shops, carpool companies and other private car parks that do not require smart chargers.
However, the series is expected to roll out throughout this year and provide the option of combining multiple units with a master that centralizes smart capabilities, controls the network, and manages.
This station helps “pay off” for multiple vehicles and provides a multipoint fast-charging solution perfect for vehicles that need to be on the road for as long as possible.
It can also combine slow, semi-fast and fast charging, a new and unique option of its kind on the market, opening up charging to fully electric vehicles, including plug-in hybrids.
What does the eVolve Rapid series focus on?
The eVolve Rapid series is designed to bring a fast charge to the customers, who are just beginning to venture into electric mobility, but do not have the financial muscle to have all the tools they require for charging.
Circontrol launches the eVolve Rapid as “a perfect accelerated charging solution” and has two models for wall or floor installation. It is designed to reduce the charging times of electric vehicles with larger batteries, which will go from having a range of just over 40 or 60 km depending on the model.
Ability
The eVolve Rapid range reduces charging time by offering up to 150 km of autonomy in a one-hour charging session. This was explained by Joan Sardà, Marketing Director of Circontrol. “An electric vehicle needs, on average, 17 kW to travel a distance of 100 km. Most of the recharging points offer between 7.4 kW and 11 kW of power”.
“The eVolve Rapid equipment reduces recharging time in half, or even a third of that of most slow-charging stations, and offers close to 150 km of autonomy with just one hour of charging, without having to hire high power nor allocate a large space to the charging point,” added the manager.
Simplicity when loading and vision for the future
The new eVolve Rapid range enters the Circontrol catalog during an important stage of evolution with a network of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, mainly fast charging, which is essential for the widespread deployment of electric vehicles on roads.
In that sense, the new eVolve will make it easier for company fleets to go electric and help minimize charging times for shared-use vehicles, as well as much more.
All this will be carried out through a simple upload process, without the need to authenticate it using an RFID card, a smartphone application or any other form of identification.
Users can only interact with the charger using two buttons, one to start charging and one to stop. It also has an indicator light that shows the status of the charger at all times.
With the launch of the eVolve Rapid, Circontrol consolidated its main activity for the development of efficient solutions for mobility in vehicle parking spaces.
