Colombia: Cali Mayor’s Office Installs 11 Charging Points for Electric Vehicles

The Mayor’s Office of Cali, Colombia, reported the installation of new charging stations in the city as part of the decarbonization strategy.

Noralba García Moreno, Director of the Special Administrative Unit for the Management of Goods and Services (UAEGBS), detailed that they have installed 11 charging points for electric vehicles, in different buildings of the Mayor’s Office.

“With this we help to reduce the emission of polluting gases in our city and we are preparing for the COP of reconciliation,” she stressed.

Among the many attributes of the project are the reduction of polluting emissions, promotion of renewable energies by promoting the transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.

It also allows for lower operating costs, since electric vehicles have significantly lower maintenance and operating costs compared to combustion vehicles.
