In Manizales, Colombia, the “Road Safety and Sustainable Mobility” Forum was held, organized by the Secretariat of Mobility and the media “La Patria”.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the public and private sectors, leaving a positive balance regarding the promotion of safe and sustainable mobility in the capital of Caldas.
The activity was attended by the Secretary of Mobility of Manizales, Juan Felipe Álvarez Castro, who presented the paper “Modernity at the service of mobility.”
During his speech, he explained how the implementation of advanced technologies and modern mobility solutions can significantly improve urban traffic and reduce road accidents.

“We successfully culminated the Mobility Forum, a forum in which we discussed several aspects that all of us who are actors on the road, whether we are cyclists, pedestrians, motorcyclists, or drivers of public or private service vehicles, have to reflect on,” highlighted Secretary Alvarez.
“We want road safety conditions to improve for everyone. In this forum, we have discussed strategies, points of view, reflections on the accident rate in our city, but also on the regulation we make with the agents,” he stressed.
The First Social Manager of the municipality, Juliana Londoño Villa, also representing the Mayor’s Office of Manizales, addressed the issue of road safety education at home, highlighting the importance of teaching values and safe behavior on the roads from the family.
