Within the framework of COP 16, the Mayor’s Office of Santiago de Cali informed that it will strengthen its commitment to sustainable mobility with General Motors, through the Chevrolet brand.
According to the Colombian newspaper La República, this will be carried out by providing the city with 30 electric vehicles of the Chevrolet Bolt EUV, Chevrolet Equinox and Chevrolet Blazer references for the development of the COP16.
Wilmer Tabares, Secretary of Mobility of the Cali Mayor’s Office, stated about this initiative that the city is focusing on green growth.

General Motors’ Commitment
Santiago Ángel Urdinola, Director of Government Relations of General Motors, assured that they are working to develop technologies that not only protect people on the roads, but also contribute significantly to the protection of biodiversity and the development of the country within an ecological environment.
He highlighted that the vehicles are 100% electric vehicles that belong to the portfolio: the Chevrolet Bolt EUV, the Chevrolet Equinox EV and the Chevrolet Blazer EV.
“With this initiative we reinforce that, by unifying global efforts around sustainability and innovation, we can lead a transformational change that benefits both the community and the environment, aligning our goals with the central pillar of work of this COP16,” Urdinola pointed out.
Emcali also supported the alliance with the installation of six electric charging stations in the Plazoleta Jairo Varela parking lot which, it was reported, has been made available by the company Decotour to host the vehicles provided by General Motors.
