Copec has inaugurated its first 100% electric service station on the Costanera Norte highway in Vitacura, Chile, replacing traditional fuel pumps with electric chargers, allowing the simultaneous charging of up to six electric vehicles.
The station offers two charging standards and three different power levels, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of electric vehicles and expanding options for customers.
The station’s design incorporates sustainable materials, highlighting the use of wood, which gives it a unique visual identity. Additionally, it features a battery exchange station for Gogoro motorcycles and an outdoor area equipped with tables and direct access to Pronto Copec.
Copec in Support of Sustainable Mobility
The inauguration of this station was attended by Energy Minister Diego Pardow, who highlighted the commitment of private players to the country’s energy transition.
Pardow emphasized that “electromobility is here to stay” and highlighted the importance of joint actions between the public and private sectors to move towards cleaner and more efficient means of transportation.
For his part, Arturo Natho, General Manager of Copec, expressed that the inauguration of this station marks a decisive step in the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility.
Natho emphasized that the energy transition represents a great opportunity for innovation and advancing towards a cleaner and more efficient development model, reaffirming Copec’s dedication to the development of sustainable energy solutions.
With this initiative, Copec provides a broader and more accessible electric charging infrastructure for electric vehicle users, contributing to the national goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting a cleaner and more sustainable energy matrix.
