Evergo and Grupo Piñero, through its Bahia Principe Residences division, inaugurated an innovative state-of-the-art charging station for electric and hybrid vehicles.
The newly introduced Level 3 charger, better known as “fast chargers” due to its high capacity, is strategically located in the parking area of Bahia Mall.
In an official statement, Evergo informed that the equipment is located at the entrance of the real estate complex; and soon, at other points within the same, thus forming a convenient charging network for owners, residents and visitors of Playa Nueva Romana, the fastest growing residential development in the Dominican Republic.

Sustainable Strategy
The launch of these chargers is part of the firm commitment of both companies to sustainability and the corporate environmental, social responsibility and good governance policies of Grupo Piñero, which include promoting more environmentally friendly mobility and reducing carbon emissions.
Jesús Durán, General Manager of Playa Nueva Romana & PGA Ocean’s 4 expressed that for Grupo Piñero, sustainability is a priority and the installation of these electric vehicle chargers is a reflection of that commitment to sustainability and responsible mobility.
“This collaboration not only allows us to provide our residents and visitors with an exceptional environment with all the amenities to make Playa Nueva Romana a true paradise to live in, but also fuses innovation with natural beauty, tracing a horizon where harmony with the environment and progress are intertwined,” he explained.
The usage model of Evergo‘s charging stations is self-service, through an app, available on App Store and Google Play, through which users of this venue will be able to track their charging in real time, pay through a virtual wallet and access the location map of the stations, among other facilities.
Achievements
Through this type of alliances, Evergo has managed to avoid the emission of more than 2.5 million kilograms of CO2 and stands out as one of the most innovative charging networks in Latin America and the Caribbean.
