After the brand new investment of 200 million dollars to promote electromobility, Evergo arrives in Mexico to continue expanding as one of the most robust charging networks for electric vehicles in Latin America.
Evergo’s arrival in Mexico is the result of the acquisition of a majority stake in E-DRIVE, a company in charge of providing energy supply infrastructure solutions.
Evergo’s goal is to install more than 15,000 new charging stations in residential, commercial and public environments over the next few years to drive large-scale sustainable mobility.
The investment will be coupled with E-DRIVE’s technological capability to leverage existing residential charging with a state-of-the-art technology system, through “My Evergo”; a pioneering charging service for corporate electric fleets, “Evergo Fleet”; and the deployment of one of the most extensive and sophisticated public charging networks in the country.

Benefits
Evergo Mexico provides electric vehicle users with a robust advanced charging network, with level 2 AC stations of up to 20kW and level 3 DC chargers of up to 600kW of power, which translates into a capacity to fully charge a vehicle, depending on the model, in less than an hour.
Another of the main competitive advantages offered by Evergo to customers is that they will be able to connect through the same intelligent platform with all the stations affiliated to the network, in an ever-increasing number of countries.
During the launch event, held in Mexico City, the President and CEO of InterEnergy Group, Rolando González-Bunster highlighted that they share a whole ecosystem at the service of electric vehicle users, with the purpose of facilitating, promoting and driving a more sustainable mobility towards a greener future.
“Evergo’s arrival in the Mexican market connects with our vision of facilitating this transition throughout the region, also promoting a positive impact on the environment from the goal of avoiding the emission of more than 1 million tons of CO2 by December this year,” said the executive.
In that sense, the co-founder and CCO of E-DRIVE, Daniel Lopez assured that they are very excited to work with Evergo to revolutionize electromobility in Mexico.
“This operation will allow us to deploy the broadest and most robust network of charging stations to ensure confidence in the use of electric vehicles throughout Mexico, with the endorsement of a cutting-edge technology in the market,” he said.
It should be noted that Evergo is part of InterEnergy Group and already operates successfully in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Panama, Aruba, Paraguay and Uruguay, countries in which it is building a large network of electric charging stations, and over the course of the next year will have a presence in Puerto Rico and Spain.
