After announcing a key alliance with Panama’s “La Caja de Ahorros” bank to massify electric mobility through a state-of-the-art charging point, Evergo establishes a new movement in the Central American country.
The energy company Evergo has partnered with BYD to accelerate the electrification of cargo transportation, vehicle fleets and the installation of electric supply infrastructure, adding the regional experience of both brands that have driven the development of the market in the region.
With this alliance, Evergo, in addition to offering BYD users public charging solutions through its extensive network of more than 115 stations installed nationwide, will allow access to advanced charging platforms, both residential and business, through its My Evergo and Evergo Fleet products.

BYD’s Leadership
The Chinese manufacturer will offer a range of electric vehicles designed to meet the needs of Panamanian drivers and an excellent alternative for vehicle fleets and cargo transportation.
The units’ features make them environmentally friendly, cost-effective and reliable, making them an attractive option for consumers seeking to reduce their carbon footprint.
The joint work between Evergo and BYD is expected to achieve important milestones aimed at promoting the development of solutions, initiatives and projects with social and environmental impact, generating added value in academic, scientific and cultural training in Panama.
As part of the formalization of the alliance, BYD recently launched its new model of electric car Yuan Plus, whose main differentiating element is its battery technology “Blade Battery” and its modern and innovative design, with great charging capacity and a range of 480 kilometers.
Vehicles and Infrastructure
Mónica Lupiáñez, InterEnergy Group Country Manager and Director of Renewables, highlighted that the agreement with BYD represents a transcendental step for the transition towards a more sustainable transportation model in the country.
“We are excited to be able to combine our expertise in charging infrastructure and electric mobility services with BYD’s leading electric vehicle technology. Together, we are committed to go beyond our commercial objectives and develop initiatives that continue to add value to the sector, the country and our customers,” said the executive.
For his part, Eduardo Lopez de Victoria, BYD’s Regional Manager for Central America and the Caribbean said that this agreement is a great step forward in efforts to promote electric vehicles in Panama.
“By working with Evergo, we can provide drivers with a convenient and reliable way to charge their vehicles, and help accelerate the transition to a more sustainable transportation system,” he said.
