At Latam Mobility Colombia 2024, Ronaldo Sandoval, director of EvolvX, presented the second Sustainable Mobility Report of Colombia, analyzing key trends and challenges toward national energy sustainability.
The Orquideorama at Medellín’s Botanical Garden hosted experts and industry professionals interested in innovations and data for transitioning to a cleaner and more efficient transportation system.
Under this backdrop, Sandoval highlighted significant evolution since the first edition of the report, focusing on how EvolvX has solidified its role as a knowledge facilitator in Latin America.

“We are here to address the urgent need to understand and adapt to a future where sustainability is not just an option, but a shared obligation,” Sandoval emphasized.
EvolvX: Key findings from the report
The report reveals Colombia has made notable progress in adopting electric vehicles, despite persistent challenges like inadequate charging infrastructure and insufficient financial incentives. “It’s like having airplanes without airports,” illustrated Sandoval.
Additionally, event participants identified several challenges to advancing sustainable mobility: Lack of adequate charging infrastructure, need for fleet renewal, and coordination among stakeholders.
“Integrating sustainable mobility practices is not just an environmental responsibility, but also a smart strategy for any modern business,” concluded Sandoval.
