FOTON Mexico Presents a New Tractor-Truck with Euro V Technology

FOTON Mexico presented its new Galaxy tractor-trailer with Euro V engine. It is a disruptive model in image and technology. It incorporates 360º cameras, an instrument panel and touch screen, in addition to its LED lighting.

With the launch of this vehicle, the company expects sales to continue to rise in all segments.

In this regard, the president and CEO of FOTON Mexico, José Manuel Armenta, said that the brand will again exceed its sales in 2023, achieving sustained growth since 2021; while by 2024 they expect to place more than 12,000 units throughout the country.

Targets to Achieve

Armenta pointed out that they have 20 dealerships operating in Mexico, and by the first quarter of 2024 they will have 16 more, totaling 36 distributors, which is the direct contact with the customer.

He explained that the Chinese company continues to expand, to the extent that their storage capacity has doubled and they now have more than 8,000 square meters.

Francisco Chávez, Commercial Director of Foton Mexico, explained that the company is reorganizing into four new divisions to serve all its customers in each segment as of 2024.

The first is Passengers, responsible for the marketing and distribution of light and cargo vehicles up to 1.5 tons, as well as pickups and vans.

Cargo will be responsible for marketing and distributing cargo vehicles from class 2 to class 8, including tractor-trailers.

They will also add the Electric division, which will support the technical and commercial aspects of the previous divisions.

The heavy-duty vehicle was presented during Expo Transporte ANPACT 2023.

Latam Mobility starts 2024 in Mexico

Latam Mobility, Latin America’s largest sustainable mobility community, will arrive on February 8 in Monterrey with the “North America Mobility and Net Zero Summit 2024”.

The meeting will bring together industry leaders, major automotive manufacturers and prominent representatives from the public sector, who will offer perspectives and projects on sustainable mobility in Mexico and the region.
