Santiago Ángel, an executive at General Motors, emphasized that the manufacturer has focused its efforts and investments on having products that are increasingly “more successful.”
In a conversation with Latam Mobility, he assured that the company remains highly committed to electromobility and technological evolution in batteries. “We have a forward-looking vision that we are determined to pursue.”
“There are major manufacturers that are also venturing into this path toward electromobility. Our company’s strength in producing fully connected products is well known; these are products that are designed for technology right from the factory,” Angel pointed out.

Ángel detailed that General Motors offers highly interconnected technology in Colombia, such as OnStar.
“We have a massive portfolio; in the United States, there are already more than 10 products manufactured, showing that the company is also striving to cover all segments as has been our tradition—not just offering a product for one segment, but providing consumers with electric alternatives across all segments,” he emphasized.
When asked about the Latam Mobility meetings in the region, Ángel highlighted that it is essential to discuss the entire ecosystem and a key aspect like charging.
“There are new technologies, there are applications, and of course, there are the vehicle manufacturers, and I believe it’s always beneficial,” he added.
