The way citizens transport themselves and the impact this has on the environment will be the subject of debate at “Latam Mobility Chile”, a meeting to be held on August 30 and 31 at the W Hotel in Santiago, organized by Latam Mobility, the leading sustainable mobility community in Latin America.
The panel called “The Road to Zero Emissions in Public Transport (Charging Infrastructure and Means of Transport) will bring together representatives of renowned companies worldwide and public sector authorities working for the development of electromobility on a global scale.
BYD Chile will be one of the companies participating in the forum through its Communications and Marketing Manager, José Miranda. It is worth noting that the brand of Chinese origin sold 134,036 new energy vehicles in June alone, with a year-on-year increase of 162.7%.
Moreover, in the first half of 2022, total sales exceeded 640,000 units, according to figures provided by the firm’s official channels.
As a representative of the public sector, the Director of Sustainability and Innovation of the Municipality of Vitacura, Diego Riveaux Marcet will present the progress and future projects to improve public transport operations within the jurisdiction.
It should be noted that since 2015 the Municipality of Vitacura has been part of the HUELLA CHILE program, promoted by the Ministry of the Environment.
Enel X at the Forefront
The Italian group’s branch in Chile continues to strengthen its commitment to technology and development in favor of the environment with its participation in Latam Mobility Chile.
Enel aims, through its platform, to create the interconnection between services such as home automation, charging infrastructures, internal demand response, mobility and, in general, all circular solutions of interest to its customers.
With extensive experience in the sector, the CEO of Enel X Chile, Karla Zapata, will represent the organization in the discussion on the transition to zero-emission public transport.
Optibus and Siemens Round Out the Panel
The Regional Director South Cone of Optibus, Álvaro Iriarte, and Siemens’ Vice President Smart Infrastructure, Christian Candela, will also be present at the exchange of ideas at Latam Mobility Chile.
In the case of Optibus, the company reached this year to operate in a thousand cities in the world with its presence in Chilean territory. It is worth noting that they recently announced the launch of the schedule optimization functionality, which allows customers to reduce costs and buses and drivers to the maximum at times of high traffic congestion to operate public transport services.
For its part, Siemens will present advances in sustainable mobility, in line with its goal of offering mobility operators and authorities around the world the opportunity to create intelligent infrastructures that sustainably increase value throughout the lifecycle, improve the passenger experience and ensure availability.
