Latam Mobility & Net Zero Mexico 2026 is set to become the epicenter of sustainable mobility in Latin America. On October 12 and 13, the World Trade Center in Mexico City will welcome over 1,000 attendees , including government officials, vehicle manufacturer executives, fleet operators, charging infrastructure providers, tech startups, and public policy experts.

The event — representing the ninth edition in the country and the closing stop of the Latam Mobility Tour 2026 — takes place at a time of unprecedented transformation for the sector. It runs parallel to the Climate Economy Forum Mexico 2026, a dedicated space for climate action and the low-carbon economy.

Mexico in Record Numbers

Mexico’s electrified mobility industry is experiencing its best moment yet. According to the Electromobility Barometer from the Electro Movilidad Asociación (EMA) , during the first half of 2026, 53,430 electric, plug-in hybrid, and extended-range vehicles were sold in Mexico — representing 22% growth compared to the same period in 2025.

Plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) were the most dynamic segment, with 31,063 units sold and a 29% increase over the previous year.

Charging infrastructure deployment has kept pace with this accelerated growth. By the end of the first half of 2026, Mexico reached a total of 60,932 charging connections for electric vehicles — a 17.5% increase compared to the 51,860 registered in the same period of 2025. The public-access network grew to 4,653 charging positions , while the private segment accounts for the largest share, with 56,279 connections.

This landscape positions Mexico as one of the most dynamic electromobility markets in the region, giving Latam Mobility & Net Zero Mexico 2026 fundamental strategic relevance for charting the course of the coming years.

A Comprehensive Agenda for the Energy Transition

Over two days, the summit will tackle the most relevant topics shaping the future of sustainable mobility in Mexico and Latin America. The program will focus on regional public leadership, examining governance frameworks, the nearshoring phenomenon, and the regulations that will govern the sector heading into 2027.

Charging infrastructure will take center stage, with debates on the role of charge point operators, smart charging, and the use of data for fleet optimization. The integration of charging with the electric grid, renewable energy, and system resilience will be cross-cutting themes throughout these conversations.

The agenda will also feature dedicated tracks on sustainable heavy transport replacement — a key opportunity for a country that moves much of its freight by road; B2B logistics and last-mile delivery, exploring the integration of sustainability criteria into supply chains; and corporate fleets and leasing, with a focus on adoption strategies and favorable total cost of ownership.

Public and intermodal transport, along with the digital transformation toward Mobility as a Service (MaaS), will be other focal points of the gathering — especially as Latin American cities seek cleaner and more efficient urban mobility options. Smart cities, shared mobility, and micromobility will also be on the table.

That is why Latam Mobility & Net Zero Mexico 2026 is not just a space for debate: it is the most important collaboration ecosystem of the year for sustainable mobility in the country.

Climate Economy Forum: Climate Action in Parallel

Running simultaneously with the main mobility agenda, the Climate Economy Forum Mexico 2026 — scheduled for October 13 — will bring together leaders from the business, government, and academic sectors to address the challenges and opportunities of the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The summit will shine a spotlight on business leadership in the climate era, analyzing how corporate decisions are reshaping the future of organizations and their relationship with the environment.

The supply chain as a competitiveness driver will be another central theme, with discussions on how sustainability has become a determining factor for corporate competitiveness, integrating environmental criteria across the entire value chain.

Likewise, Mexico’s energy transition will occupy a prominent space on the agenda, with deep-dive analysis on the balance between energy sovereignty, investment, and climate action.

Debates will address the challenges and opportunities facing the country in accelerating the deployment of clean energy, against a backdrop of growing demand and the need to ensure energy security.
