- Thousands of Latin American and Caribbean executives will have the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the sector at a free event.
- Private companies will be the protagonists on panels that will address the latest trends in sustainable mobility in the region.
- The Summit will be the prelude to the physical meeting on sustainable mobility organized by Latam Mobility in Medellin, Colombia.
Sustainable mobility leaders will discuss mining, technology and freight infrastructure at Latam Mobility Day, the next Latam Mobility virtual Summit to be held on May 4th with the participation of the most prominent companies in the sector.
Considering that Chile is the second largest Lithium producer worldwide, the space will be propitious to present the panel “Battery Metals: Latin America’s Great Opportunity”, which will mark the beginning of the day.
The meeting will serve as a prelude to what will be the return of Latam Mobility, which after more than two years, will bring together the main actors of sustainable transportation in Latam Mobility: Colombia, which will take place at the Orquideorama Botanical Garden in Medellin.
The Path of the Charging Infrastructure is Defined
During the Latam Smart Mobility & Cities Virtual Summit, a group of panelists from companies such as Porsche, Enel X, Blink Charging, Wallbox, Siemens and Geotab, concluded that residential charging is a potential solution for supplying energy to electric vehicles.
Going deeper on this aspect and addressing the different routes that enable an effective transition towards the decarbonization of transportation, the panel entitled “The deployment of charging infrastructure in Latin America: Opportunities for the future” will be in charge of defining the best route for efficient charging in Latin America.
Telematics: A Key Transition Factor
Serving as a tool to reduce traffic in congested cities, telematics technology is presented as a solution to strengthen sustainable mobility.
For this reason, heads of major companies will discuss the opportunities and challenges of telematics in the panel “The role of technology in the growth of sustainable mobility in Latin America”.
What will be the challenges for telematics in the post-pandemic scenario? Should there be regulations to make transportation more efficient? These questions and many more will be the topic of conversation at the conference.
