Leapmotor — the new smart electric vehicle brand under the Stellantis group — has officially kicked off operations in Mexico with the first units of the Leapmotor B10 arriving in the country.
The compact ultra-hybrid SUV marks the beginning of a new chapter for the brand in the Mexican market and signals the start of deliveries to early customers.
Founded in 2015 in Hangzhou, China’s Zhejiang province, Leapmotor is a smart EV company whose business spans design, R&D, intelligent driving technology, electric motors, and battery system development for electric vehicles.
In May 2024, Stellantis established a joint venture called Leapmotor International , paving the way for the brand’s entry into new markets.

A Compact SUV With Extended Range
The Leapmotor B10 is the brand’s first global model in its B Series. It is a compact SUV measuring 4.5 meters, featuring REEV Ultra-Hybrid technology that delivers 215 horsepower and offers a combined driving range of up to 990 kilometers.
The vehicle is built on the advanced LEAP3.5 architecture , which integrates electrified propulsion, electronic systems, and intelligent vehicle technology into a single platform, delivering a more efficient, safer, and more connected driving experience.

Inside, the B10 stands out with a large panoramic sunroof, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a full suite of safety equipment, excellent fit and finish, and a 14.6-inch central touchscreen that controls a wide range of vehicle functions.
It also incorporates 17 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and an intelligent cockpit interface that evolves with the user’s needs.

Homologation, Preparation, and New Models
All Leapmotor vehicles destined for the Mexican market undergo a rigorous homologation program at the Stellantis Mexico Automotive Engineering Research, Development, and Testing Center.
This process is designed to validate vehicle performance under Mexico’s unique climate, altitude, road, and topographic conditions, ensuring that every component functions correctly. If necessary, technical adjustments are made prior to commercialization to guarantee quality, safety, and proper operation.
The vehicle lineup that Leapmotor will present during 2026 in Mexico will consist of three models: B10, C10, and C16 — all featuring the exclusive REEV Ultra-Hybrid technology.
The Leapmotor C10 — a midsize SUV — also delivers 215 horsepower and offers up to 1,100 kilometers of range, with an overall length of 4.73 meters.

Backing, Distribution, and Global Milestones
Leapmotor will count on the solid support of 87 years of Mopar Mexico to deliver an exceptional aftersales experience. Owners will have access to an extensive support network, as well as parts, accessories, and collision components with estimated delivery times of 24 to 48 hours across the authorized dealer network.
Additionally, Leapmotor recently surpassed 1.5 million vehicles delivered worldwide and is a leader in vertical integration: the proportion of parts developed and manufactured in-house represents 60% of the vehicle’s total cost.
Among its most advanced technologies are the industry’s first “eight-in-one” electric propulsion system , which integrates key drivetrain components to optimize space and energy efficiency; cell-to-chassis technology for series production; and a highly efficient electrical and electronic (E/E) architecture.
Leapmotor currently has 59 sales points in Mexico and has launched its official website, where key information about the brand and upcoming product launches will be shared.
