LeasePlan Displays Sophisticated Leasing and Fleet Management Technology in Mexico

Interesting panels and outstanding presentations nurtured the content of the two days of “Latam Mobility: Mexico 2022”, held on October 11 and 12, where public authorities of the highest level and prestigious private companies met to evaluate the prospects for sustainable mobility in the region.

Karla Flores and Edgar Torres, Commercial Directors of LeasePlan, gave an important presentation on their work in consulting and efficient fleet management, bringing the experience of a company of Dutch origin with more than 50 years in the leasing and vehicle management market.

Flores pointed out that one of the key focuses of the organization is to provide services tailored to the needs of each client and the context in which they operate in order to apply the appropriate and efficient tools for their operations and with a considerable reduction in costs.

This aspect is fundamental since vehicle leasing costs vary from country to country, influenced by factors such as the local tax system, labor costs, fuel costs, electric vehicles and government incentives.

In this regard, the executive pointed out that they not only offer the rental of the units, but also a complete package that includes management, maintenance, repairs, insurance, among others.

A designed plan

During their speeches at the Latam Mobility forum, Flores and López presented the TCO plan, which refers to the total cost of ownership, a tool that allows them to objectively evaluate the performance of the cars through a large information center that will provide customers with data to help them make the right decisions.

Regarding the price of the units, Lopez explained that there are more aspects to consider such as paperwork and insurance, but in terms of costs they have achieved a reduction of between 16% and 27%.

“We focus on helping our clients see less expensive alternatives, evaluate scenarios, and make thoroughly planned decisions,” said Lopez, who also stressed that the COVID-19 pandemic led them to anticipate in their operations and offer accurate data.

LeasePlan representatives pointed out that their consultancy is not limited to electric vehicles, but also to combustion cars, which, through their management and administration, can also perform sustainable tasks.
