Meet the COP29 Official Electric Vehicles

The United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29), a space that seeks to prevent global warming from increasing by 1.5 degrees Celsius, has new features this year.

Zero-emission vehicles have been chosen for the meeting. What is surprising is that the manufacturer selected as the official vehicle of the Summit is not a best-seller (at least not in Europe), but one of the Chinese brands in the process of expansion in the Old Continent.

It is NIO, as revealed by the Spanish media “Movilidad Eléctrica”. The Chinese brand was chosen as the official supplier of vehicles for the mobility of high-ranking officials participating in the Climate Summit.

On November 4, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Ailyev, was seen testing several NIO models. The Chinese manufacturer announced that it will loan several units of the following models.

Features

Among the options are the NIO ES8, an electric SUV over five meters long on sale in Norway from 2021. It has a seven-seater version.

For its part, the NIO ES6, a premium electric SUV with shapes reminiscent of the Volvo EX30, is expected to reach the European market in 2025.

They also present the NIO ET7, a large electric sedan (measuring 5.10 meters long) and a wide range of technology. Mechanically, it has two electric motors with a total of 653 hp.

In China, it is offered with two battery options, the largest capacity reaches 150 kWh that promises to reach 1,000 km of autonomy (with the approval tests of the Asian country).

The brand is not present for the moment in the Azerbaijan market.
