The Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Madero (ITCM), Mexico, was chosen to participate in the development of batteries that will promote electromobility in the country, through an innovative project backed by the recently elected government.
Dionisio Cruz Guerrero, Director of ITCM, informed that a professor and two students will join this effort, whose objective is to advance in the creation of electric vehicles with national technology.
At ITCM’s facilities, research and tests will be carried out to develop high-performance batteries, which will be an essential component in the electric vehicles of this federal project.

Action Lines
The manufacturing of these vehicles will be in charge of the Tecnológico Nacional de México, with the creation of prototypes at the Puebla Research Center.
In this sense, Cruz expressed his satisfaction for this collaboration, highlighting that the participation of the staff and students of the Tecnológico de Ciudad Madero places the institution at the forefront of sustainable technology.
“This project reflects Mexico’s commitment to creating mobility alternatives that care for the environment and reduce dependence on fossil fuels,” he said.
ITCM’s participation in this project underscores the country’s commitment to strengthening the automotive industry in a greener and more technologically advanced direction, seeking to place Mexico on the global map of innovation in electric mobility.
