Alejandro Osorio Carranza, Director of Public Affairs and Communication of the National Association of Manufacturers of Buses, Trucks and Tractors (ANPACT) of Mexico, assured that the country needs electric power and sufficient infrastructure, so it is essential to build a roadmap with the participation of the industry, in the context of nearshoring and in the face of the advance of electromobility.
Regarding the National Electricity Sector Strategy, recently announced by the government of President Claudia Sheinbaum, the guild considered that it could represent a new opportunity to boost the country’s growth, particularly if the generation, transmission, and distribution of sufficient electric power is boosted.
Likewise, it assured that ANPACT maintains a positive expectation regarding Mexico’s heavy vehicle exports to the United States, permanently following the policies to be implemented by President-elect Donald Trump.
