Mexico: Sonora incorporates electric units into public transportation

The state of Sonora has begun the transition to more sustainable public transportation with the incorporation of electric units in Hermosillo.

The implementation includes five electric buses operating on line 18, benefiting users traveling in nearby areas.

The governor of Sonora, Alfonso Durazo, stated that this initiative is possible thanks to the Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan, which aims to reduce the environmental footprint of public transportation.

“We are transforming the system with electric units that offer a more dignified, safe, and inclusive service. With the Sonora Plan, we continue advancing towards sustainable mobility, improving the quality of life for the people of Sonora,” the governor affirmed.

In a review by the media outlet “Pasajero 7”, users highlighted the innovation and importance of using sustainable transportation.
