The state of Chihuahua, Mexico, is moving forward with initiatives to promote electromobility. In this sense, and within the framework of the “Chihuahua Charging Forward” project, members of the private industry, academia, government, and non-profit organizations met at the Technology Hub of Juarez.
The event was organized by Frente Norte, the William Davidson Institute of the University of Michigan, and the Government of the State of Chihuahua.
The event presented information on the progress of electromobility in Mexico and the world, as well as innovation in electric vehicles and the development of technology at a global level, considering economic and accessibility factors.

The issue of charging centers continues to be a pending issue in the development of electric mobility in Mexico and the region.
In addition, the materials used in this industry were discussed, as well as the advantages offered by the adoption of electromobility in terms of sustainability and efficiency.
Also, one of the topics was related to a new commercialization collaboration, aimed at bringing innovations from the laboratory to the market, which is currently underway. Case studies of Chihuahua companies involved in the transition to electric mobility were shared.
The conference was led by Diana Paez and Dana Gorodetsky from the William Davidson Institute of Michigan, the latter highlighted that this project has been working since 2021 with the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE); with the Institute of Innovation and Competitiveness and Frente Norte.
