The Ministry of Mobility (Semov) of the State of Mexico held the workshop “Electromobility, a way of connection in the State of Mexico”.

During the meeting, key topics were discussed, such as charging systems for electric vehicles, the necessary infrastructure, and the available financing options.

The workshop, organized by Semov, featured the participation of experts from Enel X Global Retail, specializing in sustainable electrification, who highlighted the challenges, benefits, and opportunities of the transition to electric technologies in public transportation.

Activity Details

The workshop presented detailed information on different charging systems, including their speeds, infrastructure requirements, and energy needs, as well as success stories that illustrate solutions applied in other contexts.

Candi Ashanti Domínguez Manjarrez, Executive Member of the Transport Institute, emphasized in statements published by Magazzine that the adoption of electromobility implies a cultural, technological, and social shift for transport operators.

According to the specialist, this process will not only help offer a more professional and modern service but also reduce the environmental impact of the sector.

One of the main points of interest for transport operators during the Semov course was the operation and logistics of charging stations.

The experts indicated that current technology allows for options tailored to different operational needs, considering factors such as space size, energy capacity, and charging times.

Meanwhile, Daniel Sibaja González, head of Semov, highlighted that the State of Mexico is undergoing a transition to cleaner and more efficient technologies, aligned with global sustainability commitments.
