More than 60 Ultra-fast Charging Stations to be Developed by Iberdrola and Iberdoex

Iberdrola Spain and Iberdoex, the main fuel distribution company in Extremadura, have signed an agreement with the purpose of deploying a network comprising more than 60 charging stations intended for electric vehicles.

This collaboration aims to promote sustainable mobility in rural areas and support the transition to cleaner energy sources, where the charging points will have a capacity of up to 180 kW, which enables the simultaneous recharging of two vehicles.

They will be implemented in Iberdoex service stations, distributed throughout Extremadura. In this way, the company will have the most extensive network of open service stations, offering an accessible, fast and safe service.

Iberdrola: Key in the Process

The newly installed charging stations will be accessible to all users through Iberdrola Spain’s Public Recharging application, the most extensive in Spain with 5,600 operational points.

The Smart Mobility application facilitates the geolocation of the chargers, verification of their availability in real time, the possibility of reserving their use and the option of making payment directly from the mobile device, regardless of whether or not the user is a customer of the electric company.

“This agreement is a clear commitment by Iberdrola Spain to promote electric mobility in rural areas throughout the country, providing, in this case, an ultra-fast charging network throughout the region of Extremadura, which we believe will be of great interest to Extremadura residents and visitors,” said Borja Cañas Rodríguez-Rubio, Iberdrola Customers’ Regional Delegate in Extremadura and Andalusia.
