Optibus Offers Free License for Institutions and Companies to Recover from Covid-19

Reducing operating costs and optimizing budgets are some of the benefits offered by global software company Optibus’ “Build Back Better” license, a temporary access to their system to be used by transit agencies and operators around the world.

Due to Covid-19, public and private transit use has dropped by 60% in major cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Montreal and Amsterdam, causing losses for land-based transit agencies, which remain under uncertainty due to the ever-changing public health and safety measures from regulators.

As a result, Optibus has launched ‘Build Back Better’, a travel planning tool offering multiple scenarios through traffic patterns, so users will be able to recover from the pandemic’s financial consequences.

The system will not only assist companies, but also, due to its benefits, will allow people who need to mobilize for work, school or recreation, to rely on transportation units adapted to frequent demand schedules.

At the beginning of Covid-19 pandemic, the company offered a no-cost license for contingency plans. Now, it expects to contribute on a global scale on behalf of countries still trying to rebuild areas (in terms of mobility) which have not yet been able to recover.

The Optibus frequency adjustment enables a more efficient scheduling for electric vehicles, which contributes (among others) for building a greener future in sustainable mobility.

The platform will be available on a limited basis free of charge until Friday, July 30, 2021.
