Peru: Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans Activated

While it is true that Colombia and Chile lead Latin America in electromobility, there are other countries that are developing important policies to join the energy transition in the vehicle fleet.

For example, Peru is promoting the electromobility law, which through tax incentives and other benefits, promotes the importation of electric vehicles, with the aim of massively increasing the use of this type of transportation at lower costs, as well as expanding the infrastructure of electric car stations in different cities.

In 2022, the Peruvian Automotive Association (AAP) launched the national electromobility plan, in which they proposed to work very hard on three axes to promote the commercialization and use of electric vehicles in the country, where even international brands are already preparing their plans to promote this type of transportation nationwide.

For this reason, sustainable urban transportation systems will continue to be promoted, with social inclusion, environmentally friendly and that allow reducing pollution levels, he added.
